Current configuration
CPU: i7-2600 3.40
RAM: 6GB DDR3
MB: GIGABYTE GA-P67A-D3-B3
GPU: GeForce GTX 560 Ti "Golden Sample" [1GB DDR5]
HDD: SEAGATE 1TB BARRACUDA 7200.12 SATA3
PSU: XILENCE GAMING SERIES 700W

Hello,

I would like to ask a few things before upgrading my current configuration. What should I check or have in mind before upgrading to a GTX970? For example, is my PSU good enough or I am going to need more power?

Thank you!

Solution
- Your motherboard is fully compatible.

- As for your PSU, 700W is more than enough but I don't know personally how good your PSU is. I looked for a few reviews and according to them its a very good, expensive unit? I guess it should be fine. SR-71 might jump in to confirm this XD

- Make sure your case can support the length of the particular card you are planning to buy.

My case is a Cooler Master Elite 330 (Mid Tower) (http://www.coolermaster.com/case/mid-tower/elite-330/).
In the website above I found this: VGA card length: 230mm / 9.05 inch.
As far as I checked, the dimensions of ASUS STRIX GTX970 are 16 x 3.5 x 9.2 inches.
I'm afraid I can't get a lot out of these. Does it support the length?
Thank you a lot!
