HI!!!
THIS IS MY FIRST POST....

lol anyways.

I just recently ordered parts to build a new gaming rig.
This is my first time building one, so I did a lot of research, though I think I may have a hiccup(I HOPE NOT).

Well I ordered a MSI r9 280, and a 500w PSU through Corsair.
Question is will it be compatible? I just spent $1000 dollars and really can't be asked to buy a new one. So please let me know if that will do just fine. :)

My specs are:

Case: Corsair 200R ATX Mid
CPU: AMD FX-6300 6 core 3.5GHz (4.1Ghz)
MOBO: Asus M5A97 R2.0
GPU: MSI r9 280 3g 384-bit
PSU: Corsair CX series CX500 500w ATX12V v2.3 80 PLUS BRONZE CERT
Case Fan: Noctua NF-F12 PWM 120mm
RAM: 2x4GB HyperX Fury White series (KINGSTON?)
OS: Windows 7 Home Premium SP1
Cooling Fan: COoler Master Seidon 120v Liquid Cooler
DVD DRIVE: Asus DVD-WRITE DRW-24F1st
HDD: Seagate Barracude ST500DM002 500GB

Also could you tell me if I chose a good build?
& If I could play the most intensive games?

I play ARMA 3, and GTA IV: LCPDFR Mainly, and that's it for now. :p

Solution
That's an adequate build, kind of middle ground. Fine for a first timer rig

However you're gonna be sitting at the low end with that PSU. Your R9-280 is gonna draw about 550-560W at stock, more if OC'd

EVGA 650W 80+ GOLD

^ Very good value and allows you proper headroom with that build, especially if you plan to overclock anything

Thank you! I don't plan on Overclocking anything. I just want to play games on some higher settings. Lol

I'd still be ok to play? Just update in the near future? I don't want to burn out anything.
