Loud PSU fan when gaming

Hello, first post here!

Here's my build:
MSI Z97 PC MATE ATX MB
i7 4790k
RADEON R9 270X 2GB
Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM
Corsair Hydro Series H60 High Liquid CPU cooler
Ultra Deefnder 2
2x 120mm Blue LED Fans

Ultra LSP SERIES V2 750W

When playing more demanding games like Archeage, or Farcry 3 my PSU fan gets very noisy. The GPU monitor shows 98-99% of GPU usage. Playing CS GO was fine and quite, and my GPU was at 30-40%. I made sure the noise was coming from the PSU fan and not anything else. Dust is not an issue. The build is less than a month old, but too late to return the PSU I did a couple of PSU calculations here and there online but all of them show drastically different results, so I'm confused here.

My question is:
Is it normal for a PSU fan to work this hard with my rig. I realized that my PSU is not a very good one from multiple reviews and forum posts. Are my parts drawing over 80% of my PSU wattage, so it has to work harder?

Is there anything I can do to reduce the noise?

Thanks in advance,

Tim.

That PSU is a low-quality unit, not really capable of anywhere near 750W. It is working hard, heating up, and struggling to cool itself. Make sure its fan is not struggling against all your case fans. If not kept cool, it will probably die in a blaze of glory. I'd replace it before it kills. A quality 500W PSU would easily handle your rig.

You're just pulling a lot of power from it. If you don't like the noise get a new PSU and don't buy the one that has crappy reviews. A 750 watt supply should power the rig just fine.

Thank you all for your answers!

I guess I will buy a better PSU, and keep this one in a closet as a spare one.
Can you recommend a quality PSU within $120? I want to crossfire somewhere down the road, so want to think ahead and get the one that can handle crossfiring.
Another question, if my current PSU dies, can it damage any of my parts?

Thanks again, your answers helped a lot!
