I have a 3 year old Alienware 11" laptop, currently, that I would like to replace with a small desktop. I was pricing out small form factor gaming pc's at "boutique" gaming sites. Places like Origin PC are extremely pricy and I want to save $$. This will be my first time building a pc from scratch. I am not going to overclock, and I mostly play World of Warcraft and Diablo III, and a few other pc games. They run on my laptop, but I have to keep the settings pretty low.

I need to keep the case small due to space constraints, plus I really like the look of the Silverstone Raven. I want to keep the build around $1500. Here's my current price list. Please let me know if this build is 'doable.'

Solution
For your RAM go three sticks of 4gb. It's less ram but you will be taking advantage of the triple channel capabilities. You could go three sticks of 6 gigs but meh, it's a major overkill. 12gb will do you just fine. Either way, populate all three of those DIMM slots.
