Hi Team,

Facing a weird problem on a wired connection on Windows 7. Mobo I61MA suddenly not recognize network connection. Changed driver, updated BIOS, no malwares, no viruses.
Using a Kaspersky Rescue Disk 10 (Linux Based CD) can access network and open browsers. So apparently no issues on cabling nor hardware.

Any clue or ideas? Thanks in advance for your support. Brgds

Hi Alabalcho. Thanks for your attention. It´s a Realtek PCIe Family Controller It´s Activated, no conflits, working properly based on Windows info but ..... network is only available over external Linux CD.

If Windows shows the network card as active (that is, Device Manager has it OK), then it must be something in the configuration.

From within Linux - open command shell, execute "ifconfig", followed by "route". You might have to execute them as "sudo ifconfig" and "sudo route", depending on the distro.
From within Windows - open command prompt, and execute "ipconfig /all".

Post results here so we can see what is going on.

You have some very strange IP configuration under Linux (strange net mask limiting you to just one address). Is this static or DHCP configuration?
inet addr:192.168.0.22 Bcast:192.168.0.127 Mask:255.255.255.128

My Portuguese is non-existent ;), but it seems that while the driver is recongnised, it cannot obtain IP configuration and defaults to "automatic" address. Try setting manual IP address, and try changing Ethernet speeds (e.g. 1000mbit vs 100mbit, full duplex vs half duplex) in driver' setting page.

Yes, I did manual config but no sucess. It´s a DHCP config with two subnets but everything´s working fine besides this machine. Also changed speeds. Sounds very strange once by Ubuntu I can get Internet access. Seems to me that some DLL is missed but how to get that is real issue. Thanks for your support by now. Brgds

Hi alabalcho, I´ve decided to format the HD and reinstall Win 7. Problem remain so, it´s not a matter of DLLs only. Does not know what else can be done. Thanks for your attention and pacience. BTW, running Ubuntu DVD keep connecting to Internet ...

I had similar problem connecting a brand-new Dell desktop with gigabit ethernt port to 10/100 switch. I had to force the card to 100mb, and play with hand-shake / full-half duplex to get it running. Finally, I have upgraded my switch - problem solved. I suppose you're running latest drivers for your network card.

Try connecting an intermediate hub / switch in between your network and your PC.

Did what you suggested but no success. Decided to re-install Windows 7 again. Got some issues with Network Card driver installation and solved with DRP (DriverPack Solution). Network working flawlessly !!!
Thanks for your support and attention. Really strange and weird once I haven´t got the root cause ....Anyway, it´s working again ...
