I am making a remote access PC repair business, and I want to cover my bases.

I need the highest level of verification for the cheapest price so I can conduct secure logins and profile encryption. I would like to be able to run credit cards eventually too but not a requirement yet. Are there any laws or rules for data protection I need to follow if applicable?

Might seem vague, but I just want to get direction.

Remote access PC repair sounds great, assuming a customer's PC will still:

a. power on/POST
b. boot into Windows
c. connect to the internet
d. allow remote access

(As for the remote access, check out TeamViewer 9)
