i need a graphics card for a Dell Dimension 2400 MTC2 so my 9 year old son can play minecraft on PC.

You also need 2GB of RAM to play the game. I don't think you can upgrade the graphics card to anything worthwhile because there isn't an AGP slot according to my research. You would need an OLD pci graphics card. The computer is too old and needs to be replaced.
