Asus monitor sound issues

Hi, I just received my ASUS VS278Q-P monitor and when I plug in my headphones there is no bass at all. I'm positive it's not my headphones as they work fine on other devices (bass and all), it's just when I plug it into this new monitor. If anyone has insight to my problem that'd be great!
