Took a while, but here is a source with temperatures for the 4690K, which is the same as the 4690 if it isn't overclocked.
Temeprature with the stock heatstink not overclocked is 74C under load, a bit high, but not really dangerous at all. 75+ I'd start gettting rather nervous. Personally, I'd prefer under 70, but you are highly unlikely to see issues at 75.

From what I can tell, the 3570 ran considerably warmer then the 4690, caused in part by thermal interface material issues between the chip and the internal heat spreader on the 3570.

The 212Evo is much better, but *probably* not necesary for the 4690 at stock. That is, unless you are in a very warm climate? What is the ambient room temperature where you live?
