My games recently have been very laggy, when maybe a month ago they would run amazingly. I did a reformat on my hard drive and things are still bad. Is something going on with my hard ware? I'm pretty I've downloaded all the correct drivers I don't know what it could be.
Are any of my components starting to die?

Hard to say. We need more info, like OS, parts list and the games you play. Could be a driver, a virus, etc or a failing part.
