My games recently have been very laggy, when maybe a month ago they would run amazingly. I did a reformat on my hard drive and things are still bad. Is something going on with my hard ware? I'm pretty I've downloaded all the correct drivers I don't know what it could be.

Oops forgot specs: MSI Z77A-G41 Motherboard, Radeon 7950, 8G RAM, Intel 3570k Processor and 550 Powersupply (60$ cheapish) 1TB Hard drive Weston

Specs?

Opp pah!!! You had the specs all along. Your computer shouldn't die. It's still fairly new.
Where is the computer located (in a cupboard, etc.)? And is there dusts in the fan?

You need to check for heat in your components. Also be prepared for a new HDD as it is likely it is the component that is hit.

No, no cupboards. And I cleaned it about a month ago, took a cloth and some Qtips and cleaned all the crap off.

How much of your RAM are you utilizing? if you have 8GB and a bunch of stuff running in the background, or never restart your PC, that could be the issue. I reboot every 2-3 days minimum just for a RAM dump.

No I actually only do one thing at a time. like right now I'm playing Hearthstone and it's extremely laggy even though its such a unintenisve game, while about 3 weeks ago it would've ran smooth as butter.

When you said ''cheapish'' did you mean some random brand? I don't know why or how, but I know that PSUs can bottleneck, or so I Heard.

It only happens in a few games, for some reason League of Legends still runs very well. Here are my full specs:

Specs: MSI Military 3 Board z77A-G41, Saphire HD 7950, Antec 550 Power supply, 8G Gigabyte Ram 1600, Western Digital Terabyte Internal hard drive, 3570K Intel Processor, and I have a couple fans also a bigger CPU fan. This has also started happening maybe 2-3 weeks ago.

Are you experiencing lag everywhere or just in games?

Browser opening and stuff like that is fast, like while playing Archeage or Hearthstone the game will be slow and sluggish, and when I make turns will cause freezing.

It's either the GPU or the PSU then... now that you mentioned an AMD card. These cards are known to draw great power. Have you tried playing a game while having a resource monitor open? Can you post the % load of your hardware during gameplay to us?
