Building another PC, in fact this is going to be my second build. I have put a list together of the components I am willing to purchase. Just to note that this computer is mainly for gaming, and occasionally render high quality videos.

Here are the specifications for futuristic build:
Processor> Intel i5 4690K 3.5GHz Quad Core
Ram> Corsair Vengeance 16GB 4x4GB 1600MHz DDR3 (I know 2x8GB is going to better, but I already have a set of 2x4GB's)
Graphics Card> Asus GTX 770 Nvidia GeForce DirectCU II OC 2GB GDDR5
Power Supply> Corsair RM550 Gold+
Cooler> Corsair H80 Hydro Series Water Cooler
Hard Drive> Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 7200RPM
Motherboard> ASRock Mod Z97X Killer 1150 ATX

I've already purchased a case which is the Corsair Carbide Series 300R. The main objective of this thread is for people to personally comment on my futuristic build, if it's a positive review or negative one, tell me I'd like to know your guys opinions! Maybe you could start a debate on changing a component for my build, but of course you'll have to give me a good explanation. Thanks a lot for supporting :)

True. BUT, games are starting to use more threads. When considering that consoles are multithreaded now, I see those extra threads coming in handy sooner rather than later. But for the money, you are better off with a Xeon 1230v3 for editing duties (awesome value by the way).

^I agree about the 970. It is so worth the extra dough. An SSD is an absolute necessity in any new build. I recommend Samsung 840/850 Pros or Crucial M series of at least 128GB. Just enough for your OS, apps and a game or two. The games and data that don't need as fast of storage can go on the spinner. Nice choices otherwise. :) ASRock Fatal1ty!

Looks very good - only things that I would recommend are:

Changing the HDD for a SEAGATE BARRACUDA 1TB as they are cheaper (only if you are worried about money)
Upgrading the cooler to a h110 if you have the money (just for better preformance/OC)

Other than that, your build looks pretty good!

Hope this helps.
