Hwmonitor false rpm readings?

Sometimes just for a moment hwmonitor shows that the CPU fan hits 0, around 5000 or even 7000 rpm!
I've watched the fan and it never stopped, seemed to change the speed or maked loud noise thus showing a great increase of speed.
Can these readings from hwmonitor just being false?

I don't know about fan speeds, but I have noticed the voltage readings in HW monitor being significantly wrong.

The 12V rail is different by 2.5%, the 5V rail by 5%.

I afterwards checked with a digital voltemeter on a molex connector in the case, and found 12.10V for the 12V rail and 5.111V for the 5V rail. This was much closer to the BIOS reading.

I know this isn't directly relevent to your situation, but it shows the HW monitor can be wrong.

Thanks anyway for the data.
I hope someone else can tell me a little more about these odd-scaring readings.
