Solution
Don't worry if you are scared, every first build is scary... trust me, the chances of you making a mistake is pretty slim. If you know your information and you watch a lot of "how to build a gaming pc" videos (TekSyndicate's video is best IMO) you are set :)

Good job camohanna.

@bejammon: Please not, camohanna just looked up the exact parts listed in that build for you to build it yourself. Having someone custom pick a build for you would be even cheaper as you can customize it to your desire. Not to mention most tech parts seem to come with a 2 year warranty or more, which means you are even covered by warranty for longer.

I agree, so much more flexibility building yourself. Plus cheaper, alot cheaper.

Don't worry. We all were there once. Once you jump the fence and get to the other side you will laugh at how easy it actually was :). Dont forget best answer!

you already have a starting point in parts list, that's already one step.

if you have a friend who knows these things, call him. so he can guide you. it is easier than you think. everyone starts out as a beginner.

just a warning though, some people (even a friend) sometimes think they know everything and will give you some false information. so ask here just to double check. you don't know us but opinions of several people does count. Some may try to do sales talk so don't fall for that (if you visit a shop)

^^ I agree! I remember talking to a guy 3x older then me and I always thought about him as knowing the best in tech and such but after I taught myself with computer building I honestly changed my mind, down the path I learned a lot of other things that I wouldn't have known if I jumped the "fence" and did what I wanted to achieve, which was building my own desktop. Now I'm usually the one that gives advice lol and yeah I agree again come back here to make sure (;
