Hi everyone,

Here's my problem: I was having trouble getting my R9 280x to work (powers up but doesn't display) and I was reading some threads and they recommended flashing the mobo, so what I did is I flashed the mobo using the UEFI update via Internet (one of the possibilities in the BIOS) and in the description it said that the update only supported two CPUs but not mine, I understood that as added support for those two CPUs and proceeded to do the update. Problem is now whenever I try to start the computer the "Starting Windows" screen will show up for a few seconds just as usual then flashing blue screen with stuff I don't have time to read on it and the computer restarts asking if I want to go to repair mode.
Any ideas on how to fix the problem?

System Specs:
Z89 Extreme 4
I5-4670K
R9-280X
Corsair CW 600W bronze
Windows 7

It may be an issue with the mobo drivers (Windows is expecting the old BIOS/Mobo combo and now you have a new setup). If you run the repair - can you get into safe mode?

I tried to do a system repair then a system restore and everything went fine until I try to run windows normally, the "Setting up windows for first use" screen appears then loads my desktop but my mouse and keyboard are not recognized and I can't use them. If I try to run safe mode the same screen appears but then it tells me the restoration was incomplete and some components failed pre-instalation.

EDIT: I realized windows was booting off of my old HDD, so I just unplugged it and now windows started as usual! Still can't get my R9-280X to work tho...
