Uninstall Device Drivers/Safe Mode

Hi all,

Have installed some new Nvidia drivers and the installation crashed part way through, I'm now not able to start windows as a result, just goes to a blank screen on loading.

When starting up I'm given just 2 options "Launch Startup repair" or "Start windows normally"

I've attempted to press F8 for Safe Mode but never able to get there.

Startup repair says it can't fix the issue (and reports bad driver in the log once it eventually finishes scanning things)

Ideally what I need to do is to get to safe mode with minimal drivers but am never able to get there. Either this or uninstall from the recovery console or even get to device manager, any advice on doing this?

Alternatively can anyone suggest something I can put on a USB to get to a screen where I can run the Nvidia setup wizard (because these days all the driver software is in .exe form which is frustrating)

System specs:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660
AMD FX 6350
128GB SanDisk SSD SATA-III
ASUS M5A97
