Can anyone recommend me for the gaming pc build with MSI GTX980 GAMING 4G as graphic card? 16gb ram i7-4770... Please recommend.

Thankssssss

Solution

An i5 is plenty for 1440p. Dual gtx 980 is complete overkill and will cost over $1000 on their own. One 970 should be enough for 1440p. If its too weak, which it shouldn't be, you can add...

Do you need an OS? Monitor? Other periphals? Here is one with just an OS. Also 8gb of ram should be plenty for gaming. Some software will need more, if you're using that kind of software go ahead and get 16gb.

Unless your gaming on something higher than 1440p I would look at the 970. $200 cheaper and only 10%-15% worse

THANKS for reply! Appreciate it! Yeah I do need an OS. For the monitor, I think I'm getting 24" one, or 27"? any recommendation? A cheap one please. And 1 more problem.. Heat coming out from graphic cards and other part.. Are u sure the cooler is enough for it? I mean I wouldn't mind to get a kick-ass cooler, since I'm a hard core gamer and I play a lot.. So the heat problem is always part of my concern.

Here is a build for $1575
http://pcpartpicker.com/p/hZqxTW

It includes an OS and a monitor (not sure if you needed it :)

@gamer1357 had a good build, but some things were unnecessary:
The i7 is unnecessary unless you are going to be OCing, and a first time builder might not want to be doing that straight away (can upgrade later)
Same with the water cooling - unless you are OCing, it is unnessary and can always upgrade later.

I chose a relatively cheap case, but you can change it to whatever you like.

Hope this helps!

Heat isn't a problem on the GTX900 series, as they are made to use less power, and produce less heat (NVIDIA cards never did in the past anyways)

heat should be fine with some good case fans. If you plan on gaming on a 60hz 1080p do not get a 980. An i5, a 970, and a good 144hz monitor would be much better.

Something like this would be much better

I see! Sorry I'm stupid.. I don't know anything. Btw, GTX970 better or 780ti ?
[/quotemsg]

Unless you can get the 780ti for the same price, then the 970 would be your best bet. Overclocked high enough it should perform like a stock 980.

The 970 preforms less than 1% worse than the 780ti, and the 970 is cheaper, less power consuming and runs cooler

Based on your previous posts, here is a build that should suit you needs. Water cooled, a 1440p monitor and an OS. It also contains a Z97 motherboard, which is Intel's latest chipset, allowing for future upgrades and further expansion later on.

I really would have liked to put in an additional SSD, but couldn't fit it into the budget with the 27" monitor.
Here is one with a 24" monitor ($200 cheaper) but for the GPU you are getting, a 27" 1440p monitor would look fantastic.

Alright! I guess I will get 970! What about extension cards / networking adaptor etc. I wanna complete it instead of just PC and monitor.. I'm not going for speakers so I will go for headphones. Keyboard and mice. What else hmm?

Did you mean I can play crisis3/BF4 at ULTRA settings & 1440p resolution and get good FPS (60+) ??

The GTX 970 runs BF4 on ULTRA (1440p) at an average of 45FPS. The GTX 980 can put it up to nearly 60.

This is a build which should allow for 1440p 60fps BF4/CRYSIS3 ULTRA settings.

It includes a gaming headset, a gaming mouse, and a gaming keyboard. It has a GTX980 and a Z97 mobo. All for just $15 over your budget (I am sure you could make it fit with cutting the mouse/keyboard/headset a tiny bit.)

What about dual gtx980? What's will be the price then.. I'm sure it gives much more performance than dual 970. Btw, is i5 enough for 1440p? i7 is not necessary? And the wireless adaptor, (Rosewill) strong enough? Because I need to get good connection to play No-Lagg online game.

If its too weak, which it shouldn't be, you can add another one later. I'm too familiar with good wireless adapters because I used a wired connection, although I do prefer pci express adapters as opposed to usb.
