I spent some time surfing the web and just kinda getting a feel for what I am about to step into. And wanted to know how I am looking, and if I'm just totally off the mark or hitting it dead on.

My Build looks like this.

CPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

GPU: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Case: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/graphite-series-230t-windo...

RAM: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/vengeance-pro-series-8gb-2...

PSU: http://www.corsair.com/en-us/hx-series-hx650-power-supp...

HDD: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168...

Cooling: http://www.corsair.com/en-gb/hydro-series-h60-high-perf...

Mother Board: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/msi-desktop-motherboard-int...;

OS; Windows 8.1

The price total is: 1063.65$

I just wondering if you could help me figure out if im on the right path and if there is a way i could bring that cost down at all.

thank you for any advice and tips.

you can get much better PC with 1000$ I'll change the build for better one (if you don't mind) .
in your build you have locked CPU and OC-able MB and high freq RAM that you will not use it he VGA card is low/medium-end GPU and you can get better one in the build I chosen better case and added SSD and raised the storage to 2TB, you don't need CPU cooler stock will be enough, at last I put amazing PSU for more stability to your build .
My Regards

Great build, I only have one possible alternative and that is if he doesn't need the SSD right away(can buy later) then I'd put that extra $85 towards a GTX 970 instead.
