Will my current work station run bf3 and crysis 3/ 2. I am upgrading soon but they are on special so....

Solution
A gt620 can run bf3 at 720p (1280:720) at medium settings at around 60fps. Crysis 2 is a little harder.

Although if you're running a 1080p monitor and wanting to run the game at 1080p, you'll lose all that fps even on the lowest settings.
So yes you can run it at a lower resolution 1600:900 or 1280:720 with no problems.

Now your cpu is the problem here, bf3 in multiplayer has very high cpu usage and likely that cpu will actually drag down your gpu at some points.
It will work just don't expect amazing fps with either of these parts.

On high settings at 1440:900 the e6300 can run...
work... maybe, but i am leaning towards a NO since even if it will, it will probably be too slow.

the gpu is bad, the cpu is ok during it's time. maybe if you can oc it it will help somewhat.

the gpu is really not for gaming. by naming convention, the higher the model number the better the gpu.
what you have belongs to the 600 series. 690 being the top, 680, then 670.. going lower..
650Ti (boost) is decent. but you have a 620, so do not expect much.

next time when you buy, i would suggest to get at least the x50 (750, 950, etc) if budget permits. if not, then it is what it is

Expect with your gpu and cpu at a lower resolution a playable fps at around 30.

Although Crysis 2 is a different beast, I would recommend a big upgrade to even run that.

The card isn't even in the gtx series cards. It's a gt 600 series.
