Hi,
I have recently had an issue with my windows 7 machine where it is not continuously blue screening after I turn the computer on, when I am loading the windows screen.

I have tried multiple times to perform a clean install of windows, removing all of the data off the hard drive and then installing the operating system again but the computer continues to blue screen, particularity after I install the Nvidia Graphics card Drivers (control panel and experience) but if i get the system running again a short while after I come across the system randomly attempt to perform a disk check on startup where it removes and recovers tons of files,

After Launching the system again just before I am greeted with the "welcome" screen I get a Blue screen that flashes on and off, After another reboot i am then asked to do a startup repair which then tells me that its attempting to fix disk errors on the system?

It doesn't sound right and personally I think that its a hard drive issue as it was working perfectly fine beforehand.

Any Ideas are much appreciated, I've had a look at a couple of other forums but none of them seemed to help :(

Thanks in advance

Reboot if windows is on it get into the menu where safe mode is. See if you can disable auto restart. See what the BSOD says

Hi,

after rebooting my computer just now i was able to log into the system just fine but i came across a few problems, firstly i was greeted with a message telling me that "dwm.exe is missing and could not be run" and i am also unable to access the internet

You may have to do a repair from the DVD to fix it

1. Could be drivers. Latest version is not always the best. But we can revisit that after #2.

2. This exhibits all the symptoms of a bad SATA cable. Before doing anything else replace the cable. SATA cables are cheap, you should always have a couple on hand.

the first version of windows 7 had various bugs that were fixed years ago. You have to install service pack 1 and the updates and reboot
before you install any current version of a graphics driver or your system will bugcheck.

The current graphics driver versions just do not attempt to work around the old fixed bugs anymore and require windows 7 SP1 installed or windows will bugcheck in old bad microsoft code.
