Hello Lovely People,

This is the system I plan to buy in a months time, assume everything is overclocked to max.

GPU: GTX 980 2-way SLI (evga Hydro copper when it comes out)
CPU: 5820k or 5960x
MB: asus rampage V extreme
ram: 32gb (4x8) *either G.skill ripjaws red or corsair dominator Platinum
system will be water cooled and ect,

now my main concern is which of the two monitors should I get? should I go for a sexy 4k display or the ROG swift?

the system's purpose would be 60% gaming 40% digital art and game design (and rendering)

I did some research and the 120hz looks better in terms of g-sync and stuff, but hey it lacks 4k!!!

so which of the choices is better? and if you're going for 4k, what 4k display would you suggest? asus? dell? ect.

Hello again, Mr. Teddy

Well the setup should yield 50+ FPS on most titles maxed out, as the review states here:

Crysis 3 can be taken as the 'benchmark' for hammering the GPU while gaming, and if it passes with 40+ FPS, you can be assured of comfortable ultra FPS.

I'd say 60Hz 4k would be fine, but as said earlier, its still immature for gaming. For, digital arts though, you simply can't beat the detail :)

one important thing to remember, with rog swift you want to hit 144fps, but you can drop to 60 and its still playable. with 4k monitor you have a hard time hitting 60fps and cant drop any more. multiplayer games usually are cpu limited so gpu's dont help.

I am still not so sure 4k is ready to game yet. I would go with the Swift. You will get Gsync, 144hz, 1440p and a good screen size for a decent price. It has good enough color, etc to get ya buy for a TN panel. I am at least holding off upgrading my Nvidia Surround set up until I can game comfortably on one 32" 4k. Next winter would be my guess.

Thank you for the answer guys!

I'd probably check both on the day of buying one to see which seems smoother and better looking.

But I think I'd go for the ROG swift!

Cookies well deserved my good sirs :D <3
