Hi there, I was wondering if someone could help me choose appropriate ram for my motherboard. The motherboard I have is GA-880GA-UD3H (rev. 2.2)
http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=...

My motherboard supports up to 16gb of ram but I am unsure about the speeds of ram. It says it supports "DDR3 2000(OC)/1333/1066". If I bought 2x8gb of ram that have speed of 1600mhz, would it work? Also the 2000 OC means I need to do some overclocking or simply sticking a 2000mhz ram will work?

To put it simply, I need the cheapest 16gb of ram I can find, could someone help me choose something that would work? (I'm in the UK)

Thank you!

What CPU, DRAM freq is more dependent on CPU since the MC (memory controller) is in the CPU and that determines the freqs you can run

I'd guess the Corsair, don't think you'd be able to run 1866 with the 1090T, also the Fury's are based on PnP and don't think the mobo supports it, so would be a manual setup at whatever freq you tried

Could you recommend a different ram, one that would be best for me please? Preferably ebay uk link. Thank you

Hi. I bought the corsair ones I linked first. One more question, am I supposed to change the timings in the bios to the new ram before I actually put the new ram in my computer, or after? I heard someone say something about pc not booting if the timings are wrong right?

Put DRAM in first - sticks should boot up to mobo default, then set them up
