will the intel i3 4150 bottleneck while playing games like skyrim

Solution
Please don't get that crappy old motherboard with your brand-spanking new CPU. Also, May I suggest a higher-quality PSU?

So what should I get for the same price and better performance

I have that I3 processor, it runs fast and smooth, plays skyrim finem but I would reccomend getting a 4330 as a starter I3 processor. The i3 4330 can handle the R9 295X2, 2 R9 290's in CFX and so much more! So I suggest getting that processor instead of the 4150.

A TASTE OF THE 4330's POWER!!

Here is my recommendation. The G3228 is a fantastic chip, especially for overclocking. Overclock it to 4.2-4.5 ghz, paired with a 270x, and you should be able to max out alot of games. I also have a z97 motherboard, for future upgrades to an i5 or i7.

You have to take in consideration if the person knows how to overclock, I agree that is a fantastic chip, I gave my dad a Pentium G 3440 and it runs compared to a I3 4130(that I have in my RIG) sooooo If he knows how to overclock he can get job's done, but if he doesnt....

can i upgrade into an i5 or i7 on this motherboard in the future

Yes you can, it supports all 4th Gen Intel cores :p

I have a H81 board(a little bit back from the b85) and I have the option to go to I5's like the 4670 and I7's like the 4770. :p

oh yeah and since your a graphics card expert, which is the better graphics card msi r9 270x gaming edition or gigabyte r9 270x windforce

I believe the windforce has a .2GHZ higher clock speed than the MSI gaming card. So by a tinnnyyy bit the windforce card is better.
