Hi,
My current GPU died (AMD Radeon HD5970) and I need a new one.
My motherboard is: GIGABYTE GA-P55A-UD5.
My CPU is: Intel core i7 860 @ 2.80GHz.
I've been thinking about something around GEFORCE GTX750 TI or AMD Radeon R7 260.
Do you have any good suggestions for a GPU? Am I going the right way? Will the CPU create a bottleneck?

CPU is still good. Better aim for R9 280x or GTX 970.

Are you certain that the CPU will still be good even for those GPU? Will OC be needed?
BTW, I'm looking into graphics card that are closer to the price of the ones I've stated.

If you're looking for a graphics card near that price point, I would definitely recommend you to buy an R9 270(or X). It would be a worthy upgrade from a R7 260 and 750Ti. Just make sure you have a big enough powersupply for it. I would say around 500W should do the trick, but it you have a lower 400W power supply but from a quality company, you could still run the R9 270(or X).

In that case stick with R9 270X.

Thank you both. Are you certain that the CPU will not create a bottleneck with the R9 270X? or will I have to OC?
And the motherboard will support it, right?
(I have a power supply of 750W, so that won't be an issue)

CPU will not bottleneck R9 270X. It is still a quad core CPU with two threads per core with hyer threading. Only thing is that it supports only PCIe gen 2.0 which I don't see as a back holding factor. No issue from Mobo's perspective as well.
