Hi,

I recently upgraded from 1 GTX 680 to running Asus STRIX GTX 970 in SLI.

Now whenever I boot my system up I have a hard time obtaining video. When it boots, 9/10 times I have no video. I have to keep forcing power on/off til I get a video signal. I am very confused why only 10% of the time I boot my PC up that I will get a video signal. Any suggestions? I have my PC hooked up via Display Port to a 4K Samsung 28" monitor. I never had this problem before with my single GTX 680.

When I do get a video signal I get excellent benchmark scores and 100+ FPS in games so I know the cards are working correctly.

System:
i7 4790K
16GB RAM
Asus Max Hero VI Mobo
Asus STRIX GTX 970 in SLI
Samsung 840 Pro SSD
1000w Corsair PSU
Corsair Liquid CPU Cooler

System is connected to a 4K monitor via display port.

More about : times video output boot

Did you allow for the extra wattage requirement in running two GPUs? If you didn't, your PSU may be struggling.

I don't think that is a problem, I have a Corsair 1000w PSU.
