I recently bought a Sapphire HD 7870 XT graphics card for my computer that has a 600w power supply, an fm2a85x extreme6 as the Motherboard, and an AMD a10 6800k richland processor (I know ew, but that's not the point)

Whenever I connect the graphics card to the system nothing happens. I connect it to the power and the fans start spinning, but when I connect my display to it the screen says "no signal". The integrated graphics still work fine. All I can get from the 7870 is "no signal". Help please

Make sure you have the latest catalyst drivers.

Also, an A10 tries to run graphics as well, there may be something in BIOS that allows you to switch the graphics load from the APU to the video card.

Not familiar with those processors, but give the BIOS thing and getting the drivers a shot.

All drivers are up to date and I'm on a fresh install of Windows 7. The BIOS says its set to use the PCIe slot for graphics, but when I boot plugged into the graphics card there is nothing.

The GPU doesn't show up in my Device Manager either. I've reseated the card about a 100 times now and tried every PCIe slot I have

Have you tried using different outputs? Like switching between the DVI-I and DVI-D and the HDMI and Display Port? Do none of them work?

I haven't yet because i currently only have HDMI cables to use. At this point i think its either that or my PCIe slots are bad. I have a FireWire card i tried a long time ago that worked for a while but went bad one day. Im think that maybe when that went bad it messed up the slots. Ill try different cables first because thats a way easier solution

Oh if it's not showing up in your device manager it might be your motherboard. I hope you don't have an expensive one x( Try looking on Craigslist for a used one. I got a 990FX Sabertooth for $40 once
