Hey Guys and Gals,

So I am looking into the X99 Intel Boards and just not sure which direction to go. I am not dead set on any one brand and trying to get the most bang for the buck. I am looking in the 250 to 350 ish range. I have Been thinking the Asrock Fatality Killer but then again the Asus Deluxe as well. But then again I wonder if the MSI would be good as well. Here is what I am going to pair up with said MB. -

Intel 5930k
Evga GTX 980 in 3 way Sli
G.skill 4 series 64 Gb 2400
Rosewill 1600w PSU
Samsung 840 Evo 1 Tb
Enermax Liqtech 240 Cooler
A few extra Hdd's and Keyboard and Mouse
AOC 29" LED

So any thoughts and Idea's would be great. Primary use is Gaming and Video editing.

More about : bang buck

Well Fatality Killer would be a great choice, Deluxe would be feature ladden but of little use to a mainstream gamer, even if he's enthusiast level. I'd go with Killer, it OCes great, and use the bucks saved on other parts :)

Thats what I am thinking, It would also be my gut reaction to get the Killer. Just want to make sure before I buy the board and Find that it could be lacking.

Little curious why you have so much graphics power for that display (2560x1080)

Gigabyte X99 UD4 is my placement of choice.

I was wondering the same thing, a single 980 would be fine for comfortable FPS, 2 way SLI for insane FPS, 3 way will be overkill and not worth it IMO.

In answer to your ? it would be that not only is there the FPS, RTS'es and MMO's. I will also be encoding in 1080p 80 % of the time and the other 20% will be learning to master video's in greater quality. this is the primary function 16 hours a day, the other 4 and maybe more on light work day is for gaming. and if I can I will see is I can do the video while gaming. LOL

As I looked further , I have changed the LED to a AOC 28" 4k display. Thanks for pointing that out. And thanks for your replies. I am putting in my order in a few minutes.
