Just got a Western Digital WD10EZEX 1TB hard drive and I want to do a clean install of windows 7 on it. Unfortunately when I am asked to choose a partition to install windows I get the following error:

"Windows cannot be installed to this disk. This computer's hardware may not support booting this disk. Ensure the disk's controller is enabled in the computer's BIOS menu."

My motherboard is an ASUS M2NPV-MX.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

Hey Livmused. Try switching AHCI/IDE option in BIOS and try again. You could also try switching the SATA cable or update your BIOS to the latest version.

Hope that helps. Let me know how things go.
