I am currently in the process of buying parts to build a pc. I have gone with a WD black series HDD (1TB 64MB cache), gpu is MSI N770-2GD5/OC, cpu is i5 4690K, motherboard is MSI Z97-G45 Gaming LGA 1150, psu is corsair cx750, ram is gskill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB), with this cpu cooler ARCTIC Freezer 7 Pro Rev. 2. Would this be a good setup for gaming, or should I change something. I don't have cash right now for an SSD, but would like to add one in the future.

You are in good shape. Of those parts I would question the CPU cooler and PSU. On the CPU cooler front, I have had a few of those coolers and the fans always made noise. The heat sync is fine and can keep temps in check, but the fan is suspect IMHO. I would recommend the Hyper 212 EVO as an alternative budget minded cooler (better track record). For a power supply, stick with XFX or Seasonic. There are others, but they have always been quality units. The Corsair TX line is ok, but skip the CX / CS / Builder series..

Well, I don't know where you are, so prices might be different. You should probably save money and just get a Caviar Blue, a lower-wattage PSU (like a Rosewill Capstone-550, the cx series uses really cheap components), and get a GTX 970, which is much better than the 770 for maybe $30 more.

I would go with a less expensive 1tb seagate HDD, a locked i5 like the 4590, a Gigabyte H97 gaming 3, an Evga 600b, and a coolermaster hyper TX3. See if that is enough savings for you to get a GTX 970.
I appreciate your input, but I would like to have the ability to overclock if my heart does so desire. I can get the 4690k for the price of the 4690 (224.99). I plan to SLI the gtx770 one day. I have had some bad experiences with seagate and do not wish to give them my business. The EVGA 600B is what I am considering buying now, thank you for your input everyone. Please keep throwing suggestions my way I do appreciate it.

For games, the GPU matters more, hence my suggestions. You can always go with a WD blue. They are priced similar to the Seagate 1tb drives.
