Hey,

I recently purchased an Nvidia GTX 770 and a Corsair CX600 to accompany it, for an upgrade on my existing hardware. Which consists of:

Motherboard: Pegatron Corporation 2AB5
CPU: Intel Core i7 2600
RAM: 8GB Dual Channel DDR3 @ 665MHz
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 545 (DDR3)
Audio: IDT High Definition Audio CODEC (Not sure if relevant)

After setting up the PC with the new PSU and Graphics, it will boot to the bios splash screen and beep once, and this beep will repeat every 15 seconds or so, for a few times and then the screen will turn black and the computer will turn off. (The PSU does not seem to be an issue as it's currently running fine with my existing graphics card)

My first step was to remove the card and run on integrated graphics, which booted normally with no problems. I tried to boot again with the graphics card in but with my displays still connected to the integrated graphics, and I got no display with 6 long beeps which I believe means a video card problem for my mobo.

I went to test my graphics card on a friend's PC and there was no issues (He had the most recent Nvidia drivers installed and all we had to do was hook it up and it ran fine).

After this I uninstalled all my video drivers, and booted up with my GTX 770 still with the same error. I'm not entirely sure what the problem is.

Thanks for any replies in advance.

If the bios has the option, turn off or disable "Secure boot" many oem systems have this.

If it still doesnt work, update the bios to the latest version.

Also, are you remembering to plug in the PCI-E power connectors from the PSU to the 770?

I'll try the bios options now, I have connected the PSU to the 770.

You DO have the GTX770 in the proper PCI-e slot, I presume? Normally it's the slot nearest to the CPU.

I have a HP Bios with version 7.12 2011, I found a version online that was 7.12 2012, I downloaded and installed it, my Bios still says it's 2011. I tried to install it in safe-mode and got stuck on classpnp.sys. So either I have the most recent version (Which has no option for a secure boot) or I'm unable to install the most recent version.

You should be able to find secure boot here:

That should be the solution I believe.

My current OS is Windows 7 and on my bios options, this last option does not exist on my security tab

Nothing

Under boot order I have some things in UEFI and some in Legacy, I disabled UEFI, and it did not make a difference.
