at this point i am mostly trying to squeeze out as much power as i can for around the same price. I am also trying to stick to a colour scheme of white, black and red. i just would like to know if there is anything that can be changed( this is my first stab at building a pc and some things might be overkill)? i am happy with the CPU, GPU and case + fans but i am not sure whether corsair vengence lp would suit the build more. also the cooler and the psu might be overkill but thats why i am here. so, is there any thing i can do to get the same( or better) performance for the same or lower price? Also, due to this being my first build i would like to stay away from water cooling, but if you could explain to me why i should use it, it would be greatly appreciated.

Solution
Get a different SSD. Kingston changed some parts in the V300 a while ago and new ones do NOT reach advertised speeds, they don't even come close. I'd recommend getting a Samsung 840 Evo or a Crucial MX100. Pretty much anything that's not a V300 will be an upgrade though, Kingston really dropped the ball.

Apart from cosmetics there no reason not to go with LP RAM if the specs are the same, those fancy heatsinks aren't actually necessary, they're for show really. That said, I don't think RAM clearance will be a problem with this setup. If you want to be sure you can get G.Skill TridentX 2400MHz, it has removable heatspreaders and it's a bit faster too, for the same price:

Aside from those two things, it looks very good!

thanks for this information. i had heard a while ago that the kingston ssd was quite good for the price, but i never knew that they had become worse. I also like the ram you have suggested as i was unsture if the vengence ram would fit underneath the cpu cooler.
