Hi community,
I am looking into buying a headset in the next week or so and I was wondering which headset I should get. I would preferably want a wireless headset so i can move around and not feel restricted.

I am looking for the best mic and audio quality for the price. I also dont want any headset that will be too tight as I wear glasses and I have heard that some headsets do that.

More about : headsets logitech g930 vengeance 2100

I have own both the Logitech g930 and the wireless vengeance 2000 (the older version). The wireless vengeance is more comfortable. It's memory foam earpads seem to put less pressure on my glasses then the Logitech set. The wireless vengeance also do sound a tad better IMO. The only thing is that the volume rocker on my wireless vengeance no longer seems to work properly.

The Logitech g930 does have a greater range then the wireless vengeance. The g930 seems to cover my whole house where the vengeance seems to struggle as I get 2 rooms over.

As for the G930's, I am speaking from experience and the experiences that my friends have with their G930's, they are buggy. They are plagued with random reconnecting. When this happens, it will sometimes reset whatever sidetone settings you have. While the reconnecting issue isn't a huge deal, it can get really annoying when your headset is restarting for no reason while you're trying to listen to something or say something.

Some friends of mine have had other issues with their G930's like the G-Keys not working, the headset not muting, etc.

Overall they are an alright headset for the money, but if you want something reliable, I can't recommend them.

ttimberlak443 makes some good points. I just thought I'd give you my own experiences.

1. My g930 did have the connection issue. However it was only when the PC was first turned on or woke from deep sleep. IT would connect, disconnect then reconnect immediately. but after 3-5 times it stopped and stayed connected. The whole process usually lasted about 15 secs.

2. I never used the G-keys on my g930. However the failure is prolly a result of their gaming software. I use both the Logitech g13 gamepad and the Logitech g600 mouse. The g13 sometimes would not load the proper profile which means that I would have to force stop the software and restart it.

3. I used my g930 while I was raiding in WoW. Never once has my mic failed to mute when I put the boom mic in the upright position.

Thank you everyone. I wish I could pick all of them as solutions ... I have come to the conclusion I will get the vengeance 2100s mainly because of PsyKhiqZero post, as he says the I will have less problems with it! Thank you all again.
