I have been thinking about getting a gaming computer for a while and have decided on these parts.

Not included in my parts list is my HAF XB EVO and Noctua NH-d14 cooler

A few comments first: I realize I have a little overkill. I think they are all on purpose.
For example, the i7 instead of the i5, 16GB instead of 8GB RAM and the 850 PSU just in case of eventual SLI.
My main questions are about the GSKILL RAM and the OEM windows vs. the full version.
I was gonna go with Corsair Vengeance LP and noticed that I could get a lower CAS with the 1866 speed I wanted.
I have read previous posts regarding the non-differences in OEM and full version Windows 8.1, but I was wondering about opinions regarding the eventual upgrade to Win 9 making any difference.

I will probably go with my purchases from Amazon just because of good experiences with them and their customer service, but that is not set in stone.

Thank you for your help in advance.

850w is pretty overkill for SLI GTX 980's. Made some suggestive changes to your build. I added a second GTX 980, so you can see my point about the wattage.

Thank you for your insight.

I appreciate it.

I don't want to cheap out on anything especially power supply and future upgrade potential.

I am not committed to anything, but almost everything I have read said Samsung EVO is the way to go for a SSD.

The only reason I picked MSI for a motherboard is that the computer I have now ( a literal dinosaur) has a (still working) MSI motherboard in it.

I figure go with what you know. ( although it is admittedly very little)

Have a great day!!
