I want to buy a specific smartphone. I noticed that it is on sale right now at Amazon (UK) and the price has been reduced considerably than the one in stores and I find it very affordable. However, I was wondering whether it is safe to buy it from there or not. Will the phone be genuine and not break after a few months? Thank you.

Then what is the catch with the low price? Or there isn't any?

There's no catch, you can get that particular model for slightly less at other retailers (although you may pay delivery with them, it's free via Amazon). Any problem with the retailer that's actually selling it via Amazon would be mediated by Amazon themselves. It's usually very secure.

I have purchased a phone from Amazon and it was fine. Amazon due to their volume can offer better prices on some (but not all) prices. The disadvantage is that you need to wait to get the phone for the shipping.
