Hey guys, my name is MrXtreme & I'm new to the forums. I was wondering if you guys could help me out with this? I'm thinking of building my first PC.
I got all the other parts except for the RAM.
I'm looking for 8GB RAM that is compatible with the 4th gen Haswell processor I may get, but I'm also not sure if it is compatible with the motherboard.

Here is the link to the parts:

Thanks.

Intel has over 700 kits tested and certified compatible. Remember that just because a set is not on any "certified list" doesn't mean it won't work, just means that manufacturer didn't pay to have it tested.

Just about any 240 pin DDR-3 will be fine ... I'd go DDR3-1866 or 2133 as they oft same price or very close to 1600 .... price change daily.

DDR3-2133 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=E...

DDR3-1866 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=E...

DDR3-1600 - http://www.newegg.com/Product/ProductList.aspx?Submit=E...

In 21 years of building PC's I have yet to buy a set of RAM on a MoBo manufacturer's compatibility list :)

Team is the new boy on the block and is generally the cheapest on the block.... I don't know anyone who has used them and have been reluctant to dip my tow in the waters. I generally look 1st at Mushkin, then Corsair, the GSkill.

That 2133 set is CAS 11. The Mushkins are faster at CAS 10 and $7 cheaper

GSkill CAS 9s are $85

Ok, I checked out the Mushkin. That one looks nice. However, for the g.skill one. I'm confused because in the specs, it says Intel XMP Support for 2nd & 3rd gen Intel processors. Does that mean the XMP is not supported for the 4th gen? Or is it the RAM itself that is not supported for 4th gen?

DDR3 works on 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Certification is something you get when you pay Intel or MoBo manufacturer to test your RAM with their CPU / Board..... few people pay attention to QVL's so many don't see the value in paying to have it tested.
