Hello everyone

i recently wanted to upgrade my computer but due to some unexpected expenses I've decided to put it on hold

still i want to upgrade it a bit just so i could play some of the new games that are coming up

spec:
Intel Core i7-920 Quad 2.67GHz
3x 1GB DDR3 RAM
Intel DX58SO
Antec basiq 550w active PFC
and also i got a GTX 570 from a friend who doesn't use it at the moment.

i still haven't received the card so i wanted to ask if there's a chance the PSU wouldn't be able to handle it?

also i wanted to ask what RAM should i buy not sure if to get a 1x8gb / 2x4gb or something else.

and in general if i could run the new games that are coming up(even on medium resolution)

thanks!

According to: http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/des...
...that board will accept "Support for DDR3 1600 MHz, DDR3 1333 MHz, DDR3 1066 MHz
Support for up to 16 GB of system memory"

Always try to buy memory in matched pairs to avoid timing problems when using a dual channel system.

The GTX 570 is a 219W card and Nvidia recommends a 550W PSU. http://www.geforce.com/hardware/desktop-gpus/geforce-gt...
Your budget Antec with its strong +12V rail should be fine.
