ASUS STRIX GTX 970 or GIGABYTE G1 GAMING GTX 970?

Not sure if this is helpful to you but I chose the MSI over the Asus because it OCs better. It has a better cooler and it turns the fans off when under 60c. This is a useful feature so that when I watch TV or a movie, I don't hear fan noise.

Asus also turns the fans off while idling.

Gigabyte doesn't.

If you're talking about the VISA checkout 10%, it doesn't work with cards that come with the Newegg $5 gift card. I think Newegg added that $5 giftcard to all the 970s too.
