I just purchased a crucial mx100 512gb SSD, got it put in and tried to install windows on it. I only have an external disk drive. When I set the crucial drive as my boot drive in my bios and try to install it, windows tells me that the disk should be removed the computer restarted and the disk re-inserted. I do this and it just loads windows on my other drive. Another possible issue is that I don't see the ssd when in my hard drives area. I see my kingston ssd, my toshiba hard disk, and the disk drive. Any ideas on how to fix these issues?
