3 piece speakers and only left speaker and sub work.....

I recently bought a pc and i'm having trouble with the sound. I have yet to try just speakers without a sub because at the time Walmart does not have any. :no:

basically as title says my sub and left speaker work fine. I checked the drivers and they are up to date and my speakers are wired according to the directions. Do I need to purchase a sound card or is there something in the settings i'm missing?

Just to be sure; you have the green ca3080 plug inserted into the green jack on the back of the pc and the grey ca3080 plug inserted into the "to speakers" jack on the back of the subwoofer?

Make sure teh speakers is set to stereo desktop speakers.
make sure the sound balance is centered in your volume control panel.
If its still a problem insert headphone into the green jack of the pc, do you hear left and right audio now?
If so then it looks like you have a set of defective speakers or maybe the 3080 has a balance control on it that I didnt see in the manual.

Well I'm thinking it's software related this the second set. I looked all thru volume and everything centered. I'm stumped

do headphones work correctly?
if they dont work correctly in the rear then move them to the front.

just tried headphones and i can hear out of both sides

triple check that the gray plug is fully plugged into the 'to_speakers' jack. There's nothing else to it. If headphones work from the back then so should these.

Ran the wires again and still the same outcome. I'll just find someone with regular pc speakers and see what happens.
