I just got an Acer Iconia W4 Windows 8 tablet. Everything was working fine when suddenly while I was playing Asphalt 8 the graphics on the screen froze and distorted. I powered off the tablet by holding the power button. But when I tried to turn it on again, it did not boot. The display stays blank and the LED next to the power button blinks in an inconsistent pattern and it goes on like this until I turn it off by holding the power button. I have tried a power drain but to no avail. The tablet simply doesn't boot.
I don't know what went wrong. Usually the device gets hot when I play games. But when It crashed the tablet was not hot at all as I has just started playing.
The tablet is powered by Intel Atom Baytrail Z3740. The GPU is onboard. Could this be a fried Motherboard/GPU? Or maybe a BIOS Firmware corruption?
The tablet is brand new and I have only used it for 4-5 days. I cannot avail the warranty since it came from another country.
