hey guys . as title says . which one will provide more FPS . which one is more future proof .

will AMD get Directx 12 update in case mantle performs worse than people expected ?

It's still not clear, yet.

AMD Mantle will be multi hardware (AMD, Intel, mobile) and multi platform (win 7, 8, 9, linux), but the support behind is not as big as M$.

DX12 will be Win 9(10) only, multi hardware (AMD, Intel, nVidia, Win mobile) and the support will be continuous, it's M$.

It's known the AMD provided part of Mantle code for DX12.

Performance gains on Mantle are great, but not so consistent across hardware configurations. DX12 who knows, there's only one report as far as i know.

wasnt dx12 for windows8'(.1) aswell, I think I read this

because noone knows much about dx12 yet, check my link, it gives some upsides and downsides from both, so we cant say what will be better etc

I've also read something like that. For sure, DX12 will be supported on Win 9, but on Win 8/8.1 is unsure, it was just a rumor.

Thank you all for answers . if i go for Windows 9 + AMD 390X will i gain from both Mantle and DirectX 12 ? DirectX 12 will improve everything as usual and mantle will provide even better performance and that means AMD will be better choice for upcoming games right ?

this is the last thing i wanna know . sorry :) . simpler , which one will win ? Can AMD use Both Techs simultaneously ?

Nvidia + DirectX 12 VS AMD + Mantle + DirectX 12

With all your questions, you can only get rumors and assumptions because at what was written above there is no concrete information yet.

So as of the moment we cannot say that Nvidia or AMD is better, wait for the actual things to come and wait for the benchmarks then at that time you can get concrete information that you wanted. Also at that time new technology will be brought into the market and you will ask another question like this.

You can't use two APIs at the same time. In the video options of a game it will offer to use DX12 or Mantle. Win 9 will use for sure DX12 for hardware acceleration for the UI.
