I had CPU-Z open last night for the first time in a while, and noticed that my memory was sitting at 11-11-11-29 instead of the 9-9-9-27 it should be.

I don't know what to do.. I was just going to go into my bios and change it, but I don't know if that's safe to do. But also, I don't know if this is indicative of another issue I might be having that I need to be wary of and find. In CPU-Z it also showed my memory frequency at 799.9. I honestly don't remember if it's always shown 799.9 or if it use to show as 800. Could my memory be having actual issues?

Go into BIOS, and if an Intel build, enable XMP and select profile 1 - If it's an AMD look for XMP, DOCP, EOCP or AM and enable that then select 1600 and it should set the sticks up correctly - else will need to set manually - What mobo and CPU?

Just a guess but the CPU-Z pics show memory in slots 2 and 4. On my Asrock Z87 Extreme6 mobo the manual states that slots 2 and 4 will not allow an XMP profile. I have the same model of RAM and a CM212 EVO.
My guess is you put on a big HS/FAN before installing the memory. I have the same problem and am just waiting for a convenient time to swap memory slots.

Delroy Monjo.

With a 212 EVO just pop the fan off, it's held by clips attached to the fins, Put the DRAM where you want it and then just adjust the fan to the height you want, I've used even big GSkill Tridents under the EVO and no ill affects on cooling

I put it on after the memory. My mobo instructions said to install ram into the 2 and 4 dimms if you only have 2 sticks.

Thanks, Tradesman1, I'm aware how to take care of the RAM, just too lazy atm.
As for Deakon, what mobo?

Should be as mentioned, go into BIOS, enable XMP, select profile 1 - if no joy, make sure you have the latest BIOS
