Intel Warranty with Invoice

So after the previous plan that my friends and I made didn't work out which is irrelevant to this topic, I was thinking of buying his Intel CPU i5 4690K (he bought it as a combo with motherboard). How will things work out in the event that I send in the CPU for warranty and they ask for a receipt, and I provide them with my friend's invoice which will have his name, his address, his phone number, etc. (I will of course want them to send it back to MY address and if possible, under my name)

As far as i can tell, you will technically not be covered. You could have your friend send it back for you, it seems though. There is something about system purchasing, but i think you need a license from intel to be covered in that manner.
