Hi, I was looking into getting a new keyboard and I was wondering if a mechanical keyboard was worth it? I have been looking into them a little and I think that I may like the brown key switches just from their description but I have never tried them. I would use it for word documents, and browsing the web as well as for some light gaming. Any opinions would be great as well as recommendations for possibly some mechanical keyboards that are on the cheaper side. Thanks.

I've done lots of research and own one and strongly recommend them.

I have the Cooler Master Quick Fire Stealth.

Mine is small due to limited space without the extra number keys (called "tenkeyless") but there are other keyboards, and other companies as well.

Mine cost about $100 CDN (about $90 USD).

Thanks for your opinion. I looked up your keyboard and the one problem that I have found with it is that it is sold out everywhere I look (must mean its pretty good then). Thanks.

My WPM has drastically gone up since i got my Corsair k70 and I feel like its more responsive in game than a standard office keyboard, making me 'better' at the game. I would tell you to get one, specifically a Corsair one because well....Corsair!!!!
