Hey I was running a i5 2400 with a Zalman CNPS 20LQ cooler. I baught an i7 4790k, and a new mobo. I had to run the stock heatsink for a week, and just put the zalman back onto my cpu tonight (with new thermal paste). With the zalman back on my chip, I'm now still getting idling temps of 50-55C, and going up to 75-85C when gaming. Also the tempteratures while under load are skipping all over certain "ranges" it will jump from like 70-89-85-75-90-80 within 5-6 seconds.
Wondering if there is like air stuck in the tubes of my cooler? or? what could my problem be? Is my cooler scrap?
