I downloaded Windows 10 tech preview today and installed it on a partition. I'm really liking it. I know that since this is a technical preview, things can get unstable, and I could encounter a few issues and possibly even data loss. From the looks of it, so far this is pretty stable, I think as long as a have restore points made on each update, I think I should be fine if I upgrade my full system to Windows 10 tech preview.

I have so much buggy software on windows 8 to get windows looking the way I like it, that it actually causes more issues than I think I would encounter with windows 10.

What do you guys think? I'm not afraid of a few blue screens or errors here and there. Do you think Windows 10 is okay to upgrade too? Or do you think that I'll run into more issues than I would like down the road? Of course all data will be backed up. I'll make my decision based off what you guys think.

Thanks!

If it is your main PC - I wouldn't do it....Here is why - if an issue comes up that makes all or part of Windows stop working (something like an internet connection problem) - you are dead in the water. Also - Windows 10 tech preview expires in April 2015 - which means you will have to either upgrade to Windows 10 (if it is out yet) or install Windows 8....

Ahh, Okay that expiration date is the deal breaker for me. Thank you very much for the information!
