Hello guys, I'm having this strange problem.

Few months ago the famous blue screens of death started to show up, after doing hundreds of memtest86+ I've found out the upper slot was not working fine. I sprayed it with contacts cleaner but nothing changed, then i decided to wrap a credit card in a very thin cloth soaked in alcohol and I cleaned inside the slot with it. It worked, memtest never failed again (i tested it many many times) until i decided to screw the lower case of the laptop back....memtest started to show errors again :S
To go straight to the point, it fails whenever the bottow case is screwed and it doesn't when its off (before the credit card "procedure" it failed both ways)
Memtest shows the same temperatures whether the case is on or not, anyway I've changed the thermal paste just in case.

Any suggestions? this problem is really weird

Thank you so much!

I would suspect you have broken copper traces on the main board, or a defective connection and that screwing in the bottom case is altering the flex of the board which causes no connection.

I don't think this is a fixable issue.

That is really weird. Thinking the screwing in of the bottom part causes pressure to the slots?

Make sure the DRAM is fully seated and clipped in
