I have a 4 year old pc with the following components:
CPU: intel i5
MOBO: Asus p8p67
GPU: Nvidia gtx580
RAM: DDR3 16gb
PS: hx850w
CASE: CMStorm
Few weeks ago my SSD drive so I switched over to my regular 500gb hard drive. Yesterday, my PC wouldn't boot up. I cleared the CMOS battery and unplugged a few connectors and it finally turned on but non of the components booted up (Monitor, Keyboard, Mouse, etc). I noticed my LED light on the MOBO, next to the ram, turned red that's labeled "CPU LED". At this point, I suspect it's either the mobo or the cpu. The PC is due for an upgrade anyway. I'm looking for opinions on a new mobo and cpu and possibly a gpu. I would like to stay under $500 if possible. Thanks in advance.
