Is this going to be a good quality gaming pc? If i use the cpu cooler that it comes with in the box, would it be enough to keep cool playing guild wars 2 for long periods of time? Is a 760 worth getting right now, it's only $209, and it beats most gpus i compare it to.

OP,

Unless you seriously absolutely need every bell and whistle turned on at 1080p in order to game, you don't really need a 970, no matter how superior it may be to other cards. As I said before, your build is fine. Ignore the advice to get an aftermarket cooler. If the i5 cooler was that bad, Intel would have replaced it. The only reason to get an aftermarket cooler is because you need quieter or you're overclocking.

If your budget is around $800, then yeah, that's a pretty solid system. The only possible change would be grabbing an R9 280 instead, which usually don't sell for much more and performs 5-10% better on most games.

This card is priced at 209.99 and is better than the GTX 760 so I would recommend going for this one

that build is good, but the RAM would work better in 2x4GB, and the 970 would block some of the drive bays, so you would need a different case

the stock i5 cooler is utter CRAP and wouldn't be good for gaming. Get the 212 Evo from Cooler Master - it is cheap and has good cooling. Other than that, add the 970 and you are good to go for the next 5-6 years :)
