Hi guys, my problem is my temp is so high for my card (i don't know, but i think this).
Tahiti 28nm my temp in OCCT and other's stress graphics cards staying in 95C with case opened.
This is a model of my card: Sapphire ATI Radeon R9 280 3GB DDR5 PCI-E 384B 11230-00-20G

Is normal?
On sleeping Dogs Ultra and HD TEXTURES staying in 85 at 86 Degrees. It's normal for this card?
Observation: All stock, i never overcloked this. I catch this graphic card 2 weeks ago.

It`s not normal, Sapphire cooler design is efficient. Better consult sapphire for warranty.

If you stress your GPU temperatures might get high 70~80`s but dont let it pass 80.

Did you overclocked?

My card is overcloked of manufactures. I don't never overcloked this card. I'm stressed this GPU with OCCT but i read that this card work be fine at 95C (amd says) but i don't know, I bought this card don't have 2 weeks ago.

Oh god, so if AMD says that it is fine under 95C then I assume it is OK, but the heat output and the power consumption is very big.

It is not worth to use the card under extreme conditions, usually you can play a game with 60~70 degrees.

Somethings definitely not right with your card (faulty sensor ?). I am using the msi's version of the r9 280 with load temperatures of 66c- 68c with stock clocks and temperatures of 75-76c when in overclocked state ( core - 1210mhz, memory- 1510mhz ).
Maybe you can try to install the afterburner software and try to manually set the running speed of the gpu fans to see whether it helps in bringing down the temperatures, the default fan profile for this card isn't really that good.

To add on, the 95c max temperature which you mentioned in your earlier post ,I believe its for the hawaii gpus (r9 290 /r9 290x) only. The r9 280 / 280xs' max temperatures should be lower than that to be in safe operating ranges.

Well, you don`t know exactly what you are doing. I suggest that you contact the seller and ask them to replace the unit.
Run a benchmark and monitor it by MSI Afterburner, post a screenshot so that you have a proof that it overheats.

Please rma it asap. If you look around on the reviews of this card around the internet, all of them are posting temperatures of 60c + under stock speeds under load & 70c+ under heavy overclocks. Obviously somethings not right with your card if it shoots up to 90c+ even when not o/ced.

My font don't be a problem, yep? C3Tech PSH750VE 60Amp 1 conector 30 amper and other conector (2 conectors) 30 amper. Totalization 60AMP and 750W 80 Plus. My case is CM Advanced Master 690 II
when I got up a little graphic card temperature dropped to 10C but still stood at 90C. Dissipation can be bad and bad contact with the gpu heatsink? Because everything was tight and well connected.
